Meeting "Mr. Pursuit of Happyness" Was Inspiring

On April 17, I was in the audience when Christopher Gardner was introduced as the keynote speaker. My expectations were very high considering the build up of this motivational speaker.

The buildup from the movie and the book raised my expectations for hearing a dynamic speech from one of the most talked about personalities in the world. Trust me, Chris Gardner did not disappoint.

The Health & Safety Canada 2007, IAPA convention had over 6,500 people in attendance and the hall was standing room only. Mr. Pursuit of Happyness was entertaining, dynamic, humble, and in the zone delivering his keynote address.

The bottom line is Chris Gardner inspired each of us to not only follow our dreams, but if you want something go and get it. What does this mean? It means there will be obstacles along the way, however determination is the key that opens the door to your success in life.

Never, ever give up or give in to defeat because you are likely closer to attaining your goal than you think. Not only did I listen to a great speaker but I was also able to get him to autograph his book for me.

I encourage each of you to pursue your happyness and to live a long and prosperous life. You deserve the best in life and I agree.

Speaking at International Venues

Professional speakers have great experiences because they have the opportunity to live their passion and travel to wonderful countries. Today I will be delivering a diversity speech at the Health & Safety Canada 2007, IAPA Convention in Toronto, Canada.
I have visited Toronto before and looking forward to speaking at the convention. Why do I enjoy speaking at international venues?
The host city really rolls out the hospitality for visiting speakers and the audience. In other words, this is one of the largest events this association will hold during the year. Being an international speaker gives me more leverage for future speaking engagements and I have an opportunity to meet people from diverse backgrounds. I'm passionate about speaking and increasing my platform to get my message to audiences pertaining to my topics: motivation, leadership, and diversity. When you decide to make that leap to become a professional speaker, leap at the opportunity to speak in another country because it increases your value as a speaker. You were born to win as a speaker and you will win. Contact me today to discuss your professional speaking future. Have a good day.

As a Writer Learn How to Live With Passion, Motivation, and Joy

On April 14, 2007 at 5:00pm I will be the speaker for the Black Writer's Guild of Prince Georges County. The event will take place at Karibu Books located at the Bowie Town Center and the facilitator is Sylvia Simmons.
I will be discussing how writers can live with passion, motivaiton, amd joy and get their book published. Why do I participate in events such as this?
Plain and simple, I want other people to tell their story. I wrote my book in 30 days and published it in five months.
When people ask me how did I do it so fast, I tell them I was inspired to write it by people that heard me speak. The universe was calling me to write a book and I didn't want to let the universe down, so I wrote it and answered the questions inquiring minds wanted to know.
What most people want to know is what keeps me motivated and the answer is the great big beautiful world we live in. I want you to live with passion, motivation and joy and publish your first book or your next.
Join me on April 14th, 5:00PM - 7:00PM at Karibu Books: 15624 Emerald Way, Bowie, MD 20716. To learn more dial (301) 352-4110.

It's Career Day!

This month I will be speaking at a middle school inspiring youth to consider a career in the speaking and or publishing industry. My objective is to empower the youth to think BIG. Many people have lost faith and confidence in our youth and that's very sad. If we don't encourage youth to excel, then what will our future look like.
I will talk with the students about what it takes to become a professional fee paid speaker and or a published author. On career day the students I speak to will have a clear picture of what it takes to become a professional speaker and or author. I can't wait to speak. I encourage you to take time out of your schedule to speak to youth in your community and to inspire them to be more, do more, and achieve more in life.
